About the job

As a Connector Software Engineer, you will be part of the connectors team, within the R&D department, that develops and maintains connectors that feed our EMAsphere platform with external data sources (accounting systems, CRM, ERP, ….) coming from thousands of our customers in a cloud architecture..

Your main tasks will be:

  • To analyze data and data structures: Your job starts from a good understanding of the data and data models of third-party systems, and you find ways to extract and transform them into our canonical models.
  • To develop new connectors : Based on that you will develop new connectors to retrieve data from third-party systems (through APIs, Databases, Files, …), transform that data into our data model and inject them into our reporting platform.
  • To maintain existing connectors :You provide level-2 support, and you evolve and maintain your own connectors but you can also help on others.
  • To participate in architectural evolutions : You participate in brainstormings, Proof of Concepts, you suggest evolutions to our infrastructure, connector architecture and technological stack.

About you

  • Education :You have a bachelor or a master degree in computer science, or equivalent through your experience.
  • Experience: You have 0 to 3 years experience with Java development.
  • Languages: You are fluent in French or Dutch, with a good level in English.
  • Skills: Good knowledge of:
    • Javaprogramming language, Spring ecosystem; Kotlin is an asset.
    • HTTP protocol is an asset
    • Security: Authentication, PKI and Certificates, SSO (OAuth, SAML, …)
    • RESTful/SOAP webservices is an asset.
    • SQLlanguage, Relational Model is an asset.
    • Data representation such as XML and JSON
    • Collaboration & automation tools (GIT, Maven/Gradle, JIRA, Notion, CI/CD, …) is an asset.
      • Cloud technologies (AWS S3, RDS, Aurora, Kubernetes, MQ, …) is an asset.
  • Mindset:
