Overview :

On time and in budget delivery of Implementation packages. This considers the full life cycle from requirements gathering to deployment incl. post go-live support . Major influence on the ongoing design and management of Tech Data’s ERP/ SAP/ Application systems. Managing sub-projects for the delivery of ERP/ SAP /Application solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for Requirements Specification and Design (high and low level) of new development
• Produce outline designs and costings of change proposals for the ERP/SAP/ Applications
• Based on the business requirements, specify the operations the system will perform, information presented focusing on the user experience (Functional specification),
• Ensure that technical requirements (Performance, Stability, Maintainability, Compatibility) are addressed in the application design
• Present designs to the client and other stakeholder groups
• Work closely with the client, development team and other demand team members to implement the solution.
• Provides guidance to the development team and performs technical & functional reviews of deliverables
• Close cooperation with the Project manager to ensure delivery of the project on time, on budget and with the requested quality
• Realization of system customization in one or more functional areas
• Code analysis and problem identification to accelerate development
• Drive the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis through handover to production
• Support Development team during the construction phase and participates in unit testing
• Coordinate the Functional and technical testing of the solution with resources from wider stakeholder groups
• Take over of application into the internal testing. Supports the internal testing cycles including review of the test cases and aligned acceptance criteria.
• Hand over of applications and systems to users and business groups
• Provide 3rd level support
• Provides regular leadership status updates
• Coordinates and collaborates closely with the regional business owners of the corresponding eBusiness/SAP/ ERP solutions.
• Promote an environment of partnership and collaboration with stakeholder user groups
• Performs regular quality assurance checks and functional reviews
• Cooperates closely with offshore development partners through all relevant project lifecycle steps
• Collaborates with support and operations teams to monitor and optimize application performance
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer to colleagues.
• Contribute to Tech Data’s strategic technology roadmap
  

Knowledge Skills And Experience

• 5 - 7 years professional experience as a SAP MM Consultant within the SAP ECC 6 environment
• Expert configuration knowledge in SAP MM ERP Application
• Experience of S&OP processes – SAP IBP knowledge desirable
• Experience with material batch management and serialization
• Ability to perform technical route cause analysis via ABAP debugging
• Experience of SAP EDI (IDoc) functionality
• Strong experience in the respective functional business areas of procurement and supply chain
• Strong analytical skills, able to translate business requirements to technical specifications
• Strong technical and non-technical communication skills and customer oriented behaviour
• Very strong business problem solving skills
• Monitoring and fixing of process chains
• Industry process knowledge of distribution business preferred
• Experience in working within project organisations
• Willing to cooperate closely with business and consulting partners; enjoys working in a team
• Willing to travel
• Ability to work in an international environment
• Language skills: very good English, one additional language preferred
