For the Legal department, we are actively looking for a Corporate Legal Expert

in charge of the compliance with legal requirements in connection with management of the international holding company Atlas Services Belgium and its subsidiaries in Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark

Your Mission

  • You identify impact of legislation, precedents and legal technicalities on the organization
  • You understand the pressure points, strategy and objectives of the business and effectively communicates the risks and legal issues involved in any decision to management to enable management to make informed strategic choices within an acceptable legal risk profile
  • You prepare and follows up contracts / agreements from a legal point of view
  • You ensure the legal compliance of the company policies regarding financial, corporate and commercial matters
  • You answer to specific legal questions related to those policies and deals with disputes and litigation, alone or with external lawyers depending on the specificity of the dispute
  • You evaluate and advise on legal aspects of international M&A transactions
  • You evaluate and advise on legal aspects of restructurings of group subsidiaries
  • You manage Group representation in shareholders meetings, update of the corporate databases, etc.

Your Profile

  • You have a Master degree in Law obtained in a Belgian university, ideally complemented by a LL.M. degree and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role in an international context
  • As Legal Expert, you have a keen interest in accounting and corporate finance
  • Of course, you are eager to learn and develop yourself in various domains
  • A plus is a knowledge of international law, and a specific knowledge of holding structures & finance rules
  • You are flexible self-leader with excellent communication skills
  • You are able to work and draft documents in French, English and ideally also in Dutch.
