Skills, knowledge, experience required:
  • Current in-depth knowledge and practical work experience of MS Windows operating systems (latest versions) in a large-scale LAN-based client-server environment using MS Active Directory Domain Services;
  • Current knowledge and recent practical experience of implementing and administering VMware virtual infrastructure;
  • Experience with:
  • Scripting (MS Windows PowerShell);
  • MS System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM);
  • Backup solutions;
  • Data management and storage facilities, including practical analytical experience of IT servers and system architecture implementations;
  • Knowledge of MDM systems;
  • Recent experience with:
  • Server clustering technology;
  • Storage systems;
  • Backup systems.
Duties/role:
  • Administering assigned IT systems including, but not limited to:
  • MS Windows Servers;
  • MS Active Directory;
  • MS SCCM;
  • Microsoft Clusters;
  • VMware;
  • Dell server hardware;
  • Creating, installing, operating, maintaining, and supporting VMware environments and virtual machines (VMs);
  • Performing software and firmware upgrades of the assigned systems;
  • Monitoring the environment and taking appropriate actions;
  • Providing assistance with and implementing assigned project work packages;
  • Supporting specific applications assigned to the team;
  • Performing other duties as may be required.
