How about a role at a large Telecom company in Belgium?

Looking for a Cyber Security Engineer who can start ASAP. The project will be around 3 months with option of extension. The contract are quarterly based.

At the moment everyone is working from home but in future you are required to come to the office in Mechelen 1/2 times a week.

As cybersecurity engineer you will join the Security Center of Expertise and together with your peers make the cyber resilience of our enterprise your 1st priority. You’re the trusted security advisor to the broader company and grow the security hygiëne of business initiatives, by contributing to the security architecture, perform risk assessments and define and implement security standards and controls.

Your Role

• Propose, define and negotiate viable architectural cyber-security standards and policies within the organization in collaboration with the various internal and external technical experts and architects.
• Review and improve security policies, standards and guidelines in line with industry best practices, define and implement security controls for applications, platforms and systems
• Initiate, lead and contribute to security related initiatives
• Perform intake of business initiatives and assess the associated risks – advise on security controls to be implemented and ensure/oversee implementation.
• Conduct information security risk assessments and threat simulations and provide security recommendations.
• Occasionally work within a business squad to perform security related work (configuration/coding/testing)
• Perform code review, penetration testing on specific applications or infrastructural components. Define, negotiate & follow up actions for remediation.
• Keep your technology knowledge current and follow the evolutions in the threat landscape.
  
  

Requirements

• You have a master’s degree in computer science or software engineering or equivalent by experience
• Understanding of the common attack techniques (MITRE ATT&CK framework) and cyber security frameworks and standards (e.g. NIST, CIS, ISO27001)
• Knowledge of Cloud (AWS,Azure,GCP) , Network & Security technologies (e.g. firewall’s, ACL’s, WAF, Proxy, CSPM)
• Experience with Ansible, SALT, Terraform and development tools such as GitLab, Confluence and JIRA in a Dev Ops environment.
• Security certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CEH, CFCE ) is a plus.
