We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our growing R&D Team and work on very interesting projects!

As a Data Engineer at Bricsys, you work in an Agile environment with the DevOps & Cloud team within the R&D team (approx. 150 FTE). In an open software review culture, you will be working on diverse and challenging topics; in a good balance between new, innovative projects and continuously improving existing code.

As part of a large and international team that aims to develop an industry leading and very user-friendly product family for customers in the AEC, GIS, Civil Engineering and Mechanical CAD markets,

Your key responsibilities are

• Design, implement and maintain a new BricsCAD Product & Operations Data Warehouse. This Warehouse is used by the BricsCAD product owners and leadership team to make product decisions based on real usage data.
• Design, create and maintain the data pipelines to support our BricsCAD Machine Learning features, e.g., we are working on an in-product “AI assist” tool, which is providing personalized command suggestions and application tips.
• Engage actively with the data scientists to deploy, optimize, and monitor machine learning models in the Cloud.
• Design and maintain cloud data infrastructure in collaboration with the broader BricsCAD development team.

Your profile

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or other (applied) sciences or equivalent experience
• Good level ofPython knowledge in the data engineering field
• Experience of Google Cloud Platform, deploying Rest APIs, Kubeflow
• Knowledge of SQL (or equivalent database management systems)
• Able to realistically plan your own work and work independently and reliably
• Able to coordinate your work with team members and to be open and honest in communication
• Full professional proficiency in English

Knowledge of any of the following is a plus:

• Strong mathematical insight (e.g., machine learning, probabilistic modeling, data mining)
• Data technology and Machine Learning libraries and tools; Pytorch/Tensorflow, ONNX, Numpy, Pandas, Scipy, Scikit-Learn, Pyspark (Python Machine Learning profile)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Java knowledge
