Data Engineer

My Client who is a start up company based in Ghent, Belgium are looking for a Data Engineer to join their team to complement the Data & Modelling team. As part of my clients international team of experts, you will contribute to bringing their cutting-edge solution to the market and to the lives of people with diabetes. Being a start-up environment, you will be exposed to a lot of opportunities to develop along with taking more ownership due to the role being broad. With only one person between you and the CTO, you will be close to the decision making process allowing you to have more impact and bring value to the decisions made.

Some of the responsibilities:
Build and maintain data pipeline architecture in cloud-based computing environments and data warehousing systems
Develop tools to monitor, debug, and analyse data pipelines to ensure data quality and reliability.
Partner with internal stakeholders to determine timelines, requirements, semantic and logical models
Explore available technologies and develop solutions to continuously improve our data quality, workflow reliability, and scalability

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Information Technology data modelling and/or signal processing, or other related discipline or 4 + years of commensurate experience
Strong understanding of data modelling, algorithms and data transformation techniques
Well versed in data analytics, Python and other cloud services
Experience with machine learning techniques
Fluent in English (Working language will be English)
