Data Science Summer Internship (BE)

Do you want to gain experience, working in a team that applies the latest data science, machine learning & AI techniques?Would you like to conduct a paid internship, helping retail clients discover the value hidden in data and craft solutions that augment decision-making?

At Crunch Analytics, we help EU retail and e-commerce teams at Beerwulf, G-Star, Unilin, Roompot, or others to embrace big data & AI techniques. We introduce AI-driven solutions (advanced analytics) that fundamentally change how these organizations create value.

As a Data Science enthusiast, you have the ability to become part of our team for a period of at least six weeks, during the winter/spring season. (for our Data Science Summer Internship > click here). You will perform a number of tasks, working on an actual client project, guided by an experienced data scientist.

We will provide you with ample time and resources to become more proficient using key tools and techniques applied in the data science ecosystem. Moreover, you will get a first feel of what it is like to translate your work in a business context, ensuring a client is on board with the work we perform and the results we generate.

During this internship, you will get a feel of what it is like to work at a fast-growth data analytics agency. We will provide you with a certain level of freedom and choice, inspiring you to take responsibility where it is most appropriate.

What will be part of your responsibilities?

• You help assist in the implementation of a Crunch Analytics data solution, be it in the field of retail price management, retail inventory management, or CRM & marketing automation;
• You will learn certain specific skills, to get you up and running swiftly;
• Working with a data analyst, you will help collect, analyze and understand data;
• You will help set up experiments, explain results, and frame their importance in the client’s data roadmap;
• You will help extend our knowledge base concerning a variety of data science topics.

‍ What skills are required?

You are an MS or Advanced MS (Manama) student in the field of Computer Science, Econometrics, Economics, Business Administration, AI, Data or Marketing Analysis, Math, or Statistics,

• You are fluent in Dutch and English;
• You have a passion for working with data and technology;
• You understand business economics;
• You have a basic knowledge of data science principles.
• You are an excellent programmer in Python;
• Having Experience with data-science software and packages (HDFS, Spark) or the Google Cloud platform/AWS is a definitive plus

The internship is a paid internship unless the framework in which you conduct the internship (school/other) does not allow you receive a form of remuneration. Details will be discussed during the selection procedure.

You will get two weeks to send in your challenge, which will be discussed during a final presentation.
