Since 2004, I-care has been the international leader in Predictive Analytics for Maintenance and Industrial Reliability Solutions. With headquarters in Belgium and over 25 subsidiaries in Europe, the US and Asia, our team of over 500 engineers service customers all over the world. We offer a wide range of high added value products, training and services to predict, advise and accompany our industrial customers in optimizing maintenance plans, asset reliability and production availability at controlled costs by reducing the risk of unplanned shutdowns. Because we understand the industry’s needs and strongly believe in technological innovation, I-care™ R&D has developed wireless tools and software dedicated to Maintenance 4.0: Wi-care™ and I-see™. This allows I-care to take a leading position in supporting customers in industrial data science projects. Our continuous growth is resulting in the further expansion of our R&D AI team with around 15 FTE in 2022.

At I-care, AI stands for “Augmented Reality”, because we believe that the final decision should remain in the hands of the expert.

With more than 10 years of data collected with its own IIoT devices across all industries, I-care is now looking at delivering automated insights to help engineers and decision makers in their daily business challenges.

The current projects are focusing on automating some key processes carried out by the experts on the vibration measurements collected by IIoT devices across the world. Later, the models will be branched, customized and deployed for specific applications involving a mix of different data sources or business expectations. Other AI projects will focus on enabling reliability engineers to deploy and assess reliability projects faster.

To this end:

• Data scientists are working with I-care experts and customers to generate value with the data. Data scientists are at the heart of the scientific process for creating models using a wide set of readily available mathematical techniques. Data scientists are also able to provide relevant visuals to the stakeholders and scientific documentation about the inner workings of their codes.

As a Data Scientist you are working in an agile team at the applied R&D level to:

• Understand the end users needs and to translate these needs into user stories


• Participate at least in building, using, managing, updating, documenting, testing, securing, deploying, scaling a Machine Learning Operations platform


• Identify opportunities for improvements


• Keep yourself up to date with the latest AI tools, MLOps concepts, IT frameworks


• Help in writing down reports in English and/or French and/or Dutch

Profile

• Proficient with Python data science tools


• AI background (experience and/or education with supervised, semi-supervised, unsupervised learning)


• Good mathematical background, especially in statistics and signal processing


• Engineering/Scientific background is preferred


• Understands the key concepts behind CI/CD and gitlab


• Knowledge or experience with reinforcement learning is a plus


• Knowledge or experience with adversarial neural networks is a plus

Other Skills

• Familiar with google drive tools is a plus


• Able to communicate effectively with team members


• Able to share work and communicate about the current progress to relevant stakeholders
