Degroof Petercam Asset Management (DPAM) is an independent active asset management firm part of a family owned group with its origins in 1871. DPAM has a strong focus on research with a proprietary in-house fundamental and quantitative analyst team, supporting the firm’s asset management activities. Context

Within our business unit Degroof Petercam Asset Management managing funds and exercising mandates on behalf of institutional end-investors as well as distribution partners (private banks, insurance companies and retail networks), we are currently looking for a Buy side analyst European Small & Mid Caps

Your Position

The successful candidate will join the buy side equity research team. The job consists of the following :
  • Conduct strategic, fundamental and financial research on listed European small & midcap companies;
  • The analyst will have no specific sector focus, however most companies in the universe are active in the industrial and consumer sector;
  • Present ideas to fund managers and other stakeholders;
  • Actively participate in idea generation for the different funds;
  • Actively contribute to the composition of the ESG checklist, scorecards and ESG reporting.

Your Profile

Ideally we are looking for a colleague with the following profile:
  • Solid academic credentials, we welcome candidates with non-financial degrees, however a Master degree in Economics / Finance is preferred;
  • Holding the CFA charter holder title or willingness to become a CFA charter holder (a must for non-financial degree candidates);
  • Experience with the stock market / equity analysis is preferred;
  • Passion for stock markets, passion for strategic analysis, passion for what happens in the world;
  • Eager to continuously learn, strong analytical skills, pay attention to detail and precision, processes and data savvy;
  • Team player with an entrepreneurial attitude and high ethical standards;
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills;
  • Willingness to travel (at least 10% of the time);
