The pivotal study in Crohn’s Disease is fully recruited and we expect topline data and potential approval in this new indication in a couple of years.Galapagos is now entering an exciting new chapter to expand and diversify its pipeline for the future, starting with oncology, specifically CAR-T cell-therapy, a transformative treatment of different types of cancer. Through the combined acquisitions of CellPoint and AboundBio, we are propelling ourselves into next-generation cell therapies.Due to our dynamic growth, we are looking for a Demand and Supply Manager.This position is based in Belgium.Scope of the jobThe Supply Chain Department ranges from the sourcing of the products to the delivery of our products to our customers based in Europe. In this role, you engage with Commercial Teams to define the future needs for our product, you run the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and liaise with the Manufacturing Team to ensure permanent availability of stock for customers and patients. As a strong coordinator of flows you ensure the Vendor management of Logistics partners (3PL).Your roleThe Primary Accountabilities In This Role Are
  • Manage the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process of the company
  • Define an accurate sales forecast with Commercial teams to understand future markets’ demand in competitive environments and translate it into needs for products for our customers in Europe
  • Manage stock levels depending on product life cycle and market environment to ensure available stock while keeping an effective and efficient Supply Chain
  • Be the key link between the External Manufacturing team, Customer Services and affiliates regarding operational Supply Chain topics.
  • Ensure accurate management of stock in SAP.
  • Ensure Vendor management of Logistics partners (3PL)
  • Follow-up and share relevant KPIs. Define relevant actions for performance improvement
Who are you ?
  • A Master degree in Supply Chain or a Master degree in Commercial or Engineering with a proven experience in S&OP in operational Supply Chain
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of related work experience in Biotech, Biopharmaceutical or Pharmaceutical industry preferably
  • Ability to work autonomously and able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Knowledge of SAP is a plus
  • Ability to maintain and create professional networks with stakeholders internally and externally
  • Fluent in English – other European languages are a plus
  • As this position is based in Mechelen, it requires to be living in Belgium.
