Development Chemist

As Development Chemist, you are responsible for worldwide product line support for the Arteco products, for the additive package development as well as for the product development in relation to coolants, heat transfer fluids and hot test or running-in fluids.

Your role:

• You develop product formulations that meet the client’s requirements and that are in line with the Arteco’s business plan.
• You participate in the support of the Company’s worldwide coolants marketing and manufacturing activities to enable identification of future product needs and supplier intelligence.
• You build long term relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. First, your focus will be on internal stakeholders. In the long run, you build out a network within the academic world, external labs and key customers.
• Using your technical and market knowledge, you support and coach Lab Technicians and other personnel. As you grow in your role, you will be able to give trainings and presentations.

Your profile:

• You have a Master degree or PhD in a relevant domain: organic or inorganic chemistry. Expertise in the domain of corrosion or material science is an advantage, as well as experience in a R&D position.
• You have strong knowledge of English. Dutch and German are a plus.
• You live at a reasonable distance from your work location so a close collaboration with the Lab team is feasible.
• Creative thinker with strong analytical skills, an interest in adjacencies, an open mindset, eager to learn and passionate to explore the domain in depth.
