About the Director of Enterprise Architecture position at Showpad

The Director of Enterprise Architecture will lead our lean team of enterprise architects that help translate strategy coming from our management into conscious architectural choices needed to realize such strategy. You take the lead in converging towards a target operating model, based on business capabilities, trying to balance autonomy of individual business units and synergies at company level.

The scope of the job includes taking a lean and pragmatic approach in a global SAAS context supporting business outcome, where speed and scale are key driving needs.

Key Responsibilities for a Director of Enterprise Architecture at Showpad

• Focus on linking business mission, strategy and processes to a target operating model in an efficient, sustainable and adaptable manner with a strong focus on differentiation
• Provide a focal point of reuse and value creation across the company by leading architectural changes in data, application and infrastructure
• Collaborate with business and technology leaders to provide a view on AS-IS and TO-BE architecture from a business, application and technology perspective always supporting business outcomes.
• Identify ways to increase employee knowledge/maturity on Enterprise architecture and skills to support future growth and technology changes and advances; Responsible for understanding internal and external customer needs/requirements and designing solutions that allow business users to transform themselves through the creative and cutting-edge use of technology. This involves performing modeling, analysis and planning in order to implement solutions that will meet business needs within financial budget guidelines. Manager and guide a team of Enterprise architects and set them up for success in their business domains

Required Skills for a Director of Enterprise Architecture at Showpad

• 10+ years of technology leadership roles and enterprise architecture practices
• 2+ years of experience in a product based company
• Able to navigate and create buy-in from operational staff to C-Level
• People skills: Interacting with people is a constant with this job. Having great people skills is a must to manage the existing team
• Ability to efficiently scale a small team through complexity and ambiguity to success
• Communication is a key skill; The ability to match technologies to business objectives and explain it in layman’s terms is mandatory;
• Must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment and able to handle multiple priorities; Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering architecture activities across company needs, business constraints and technological realities.
• Problem solving: Problems will sometimes be complex or unique – the EA leader must be able to evaluate and solve them; Big Picture thinking: Must be able to look at a problem or situation from multiple angles, avoid tunnel vision, and explain them clearly.
• Highly autonomous, proactive and responsible
• A role model and go-to person with high emotional intelligence
• Capable of building trusted relationships with all levels of the organization
• Familiarity with major cloud platforms and digital native businesses
