For our client active in providing advices upon the development and management of water related projects in the offshore, marine, coastal and river environment, we are looking for a Dredging Engineer.

Mission

  • Be able to work as part of a project team, but can also work independently and can take initiative.
  • Discover different technical domains and be exposed to different aspects of a project, from offer phase to execution and prepare offers and write methodology for small and large scale dredging projects.
  • Analyse and manage large- and small-scale dredging projects, in delivery on time and on budget.
  • Be able to apply your relevant technical knowledge in a team of professionals both in the offices and on site when required.
  • Apply your dredging experience and knowledge to practical solutions, you will provide our clients with the best technical and economical solutions.

Profile

  • You have a university degree in civil, geotechnical engineering or equivalent and 3 to 5 years practical work experience with a dredging contractor: this experience can be on site, in production or in the tendering department.
  • You have knowledge in one or more of the following topics : offshore installation techniques (of cables and/or pipelines); environmental impact of dredging works and mitigating measures; re-use of dredged material; project- and contract management on dredging and/or marine works.
  • You look for creative solutions rather than just ’output’ and you like to generate innovative ideas that can make the difference for our Clients.
  • You are willing to work on national and international projects and consider short missions abroad as a welcome interruption of your daily office work.
  • You are fluent in English (both in writing and verbally) but a good working knowledge of French and/or Dutch is also an asset
