We can’t wait to hear about YOU.Director, Operations Support Leader, Europe & South AfricaThe Operations Support leader ( Director) Europe & South Africa (ESA), is a key member of the ESA Leadership team (LT) and will be instrumental in providing insights, guidance and coordination to the LT with heavy focus on leveraging internal relationships, critical strategy and initiatives to drive profitable growth across the Iron Mountain enterprise.Reporting to the SVP and Head of ESA Operations, the Operations Support Leader, ESA is a key member of the ESA Operations Leadership Team and will be responsible for driving strategy, financial, operational and general management activities and serves as the focal point for matters of collaboration among the ESA leadership team, while also serving as the principal point of coordination with the Iron Mountain enterprise globally, including all key business units (GBS, GTO, HR, Finance, GI). Highly influential, this position requires significant collaboration, communication, and engagement with senior leadership across all functions. In addition to strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and lead change and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.This role plays an important role in evaluating performance results, identifying and assessing risk factors, managing action items and action plans for ESA Ops commitments, keeping track of industry and market intelligence and is expected to provide perspective and points of view on opportunities, threats, risks and issues to be addressed by ESA Ops and Iron Mountain leadership.Primary Responsibilities Include:

• ESA Operations Strategy : Become focal point for ESA Operations strategy development and associated plan, as connected to the Enterprise strategy. This will be done through collaboration with various owners and functions to ensure clarity and understanding across all GRO leaders. In order to effectively drive to completion, this individual will assist owners with tactical plan development as needed. This may include adjusting our organizational structure for the purpose of adaption to change and playbook strategy effectiveness.
• Thought Leadership: Act as member of the ESA Operations Leadership Team. Substantial thought leadership required to drive the strategy and suggest direction of the business unit is required. Responsible for leading and executing select strategic initiatives and planning that drives revenue growth, increase contribution margins and delivers increased process efficiency for the entire business.
• Complex Communication : Act as a focal point for senior level communications needed for the ESA Operations business, as well as an extension to the business unit leader (for message framing, slide development, written communications, etc.); includes working closely with Corporate Communications to ensure proper messaging for critical deliverables (Leadership Meetings,Town Halls, All Hands Calls, QBR’s, annual planning meetings, kickoff events and other leadership forums.), adjusting or enhancing the business unit leader communications platform, and assessing the overall effectiveness of our communications to the business unit leadership.
• Driving Initiatives : Collaborate with holistic team or in 1:1 settings with the other LT members on specific initiatives and critical issues assigned to the role to drive forward progress, form an overall opinion for input to the business unit leader and make final decisions. Includes supporting critical asks.
• Leadership Team Support: Attend needed business unit meetings ensuring most effective and prioritized use of the LTs time; actively participate in such meetings accordingly.
• Meeting Attendance: Attend various other internal, customer meetings and functions with or in some cases, in place of, the business unit leader; ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken. (Includes enterprise customers, region or support function meetings, corporate meetings, etc.)

Position RequirementsEducationBachelor’s degree is desired, preferably in engineering, finance, business or related field.Background/experience

• 10+ years of progressive leadership in operations, customer fulfillment and/or business unit management
• Knowledge of IRM businesses and internal processes
• Demonstrated project management skills and experience leading complex projects
• Strong written/verbal communications, executive communications
• Proven track record of being a trusted advisor to senior executives
