The Finance Director is responsible for accounting controls, financial reporting, revenue monitoring, forecasting and budgeting, and oversight of the tax compliance process for a recently acquired company in Belgium. You will oversee the timely monthly close of the General Ledger, consolidation and reporting of financial results to the group, coordination with the headquarters group for audits, the establishment and maintenance of accounting policies, including revenue recognition and the development of efficient and effective processes that also support compliance to internal controls.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain the company’s overall system of accounts, books and records on all company transactions and assets.
• Assist with managing company’s cash flow and coordinating funding requests with the group’s Treasury department.
• Assist with formulating the financial objectives and policies of the company and then prepare reports that outline the company’s progress towards those objectives and financial position in terms of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and future operations.
• Oversight of tax preparation and filings in conjunction with European colleagues, and adherence to sales tax compliance and payments
• Ensure compliance with all country, regional and local corporate and other applicable taxes and regulations.
• Review and ensure accurate and timely computation and payment of payroll, commissions, and expenses
• Direct the daily activities and the career development of team members, including hiring, coaching, reviewing work, establishing goals and performance management of team members as required.
  
  

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

• University degree in Accounting or Finance
• Fluency in Dutch and English, with a strong preference for French as well
• 8+years of experience
• Exposure to and strong understanding of software/technology practices, including customer contract reviews, and finance and accounting requirements
• Communication skills for credibility at all levels of the organization.
• General understanding of procurement, insurance, tax and contracting
• Skilled in managing the entire quote to cash lifecycle with particular focus on renewals and collections.
• A proven track record of performance, where timelines are achieved and deadlines are consistently met – detail oriented and driven to succeed.
• Ability to work with leadership in other locations in Europe and the United State
