A company active in the telecommunication sector is currently looking to hire a Financial Accounting Manager to join their offices in Brussels. Thanks to your experience in accounting and finance, you will be an asset for this international company, and you will be the main finance local contact for external and internal parties as well as the outsourced backoffice accounting teams.

Your main responsibilities as the new Financial Accounting Manager will include:

  • Guarantee tax compliance (VAT and corporate income taxes, withholding tax, intrastat, etc.)
  • Oversee the outsourced payroll providers
  • Operate payroll controls in collaboration with the HR department and prepare payroll journals for the General Ledger
  • Work on a daily basis with the backoffice staff based in Chennai and Warsaw
  • Support statutory audits by participating in the preparation and fieldwork phase, liaising directly with auditors and reporting on progress to the Regional Audit Manager
  • Prepare the financial statements for the BeNeLux entities
  • Oversee the BeNeLux Scanning Assistant and ensure there is no backlogs with the scanning of invoices
  • Support the review of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations and the follow-up
  • Handle the internal and external Finance archive
  • Ensure the company is complying with local reporting regulations

Your profile:

  • You have a Bachelor or a Master’s degree in accounting
  • You have at least 3 to 4 years of experience in an audit firm
  • You are fluent in English, Dutch and/or French is a big asset

Your strengths:

  • You have excellent communication skills and you are able to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • You are flexible and you are able to handle stressful situations while taking critical decision when needed
  • Through your previous experience you have built a great knowledge of Excel and you are used to work with a Finance ERP system
  • You are willing to travel occasionally to other BeNeLux countries
