In this role you will be the Forecast and Performance Analytics Senior Manager to the Global Shingrix Vaccine franchise, one of GSK’s most important in market brands, you will be reporting to & working hand in hand with the Strategic Insight Business Partner and closely with the Shingrix VCL.

The primary objective of this position is to provide guidance and execute as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in forecast planning and performance tracking. You are accountable for a robust data based end-to-end forecast for the franchise and for producing comprehensive analytics and asset stories/presentations around the forecast and performance to leadership.

You will be accountable for and own the development of short and long range sales forecasts and the creation of the story and associated materials for key governance committees (including but not limited to MPR, FRC, Corporate LRF) , this role owns the entire forecast market model.

You will support the Life Cycle workstream on the modeling and forecast creation to determine/size of LCM opportunities.

You will define and drive the development of measurement/feedback to understand why markets are performing the way they are and extract recommendations from insights. You will also be accountable for developing and deploying and evaluating brand/circumstance relevant KPIs, dynamic dashboards, perform month-end, Quarter-end closing analysis, identifying & defining relevant customer experience (CX) measures and remediate root cause to issues.

Emphasis is placed on explaining the brand evolution/outlook to leadership, facilitating optimal decision making. Accountable for ensuring robust metrics that drive performance management forward (Deliver Scorecard metrics).

You will define and direct the activities of KC support (off shore -1 pax) regarding forecasting modeling, identify and deploy advanced analytics use cases to support the brand’s strategic imperatives (e.g predictive demand estimation, patient journey analytics).

You will provide key performance updates as inputs to senior level performance reviews and IR calls.

You will connect the dots across various elements of the franchise using disparate data, analytics and insights. Critically, you will need to be comfortable with and appropriately be able to manage, uncertainty, ambiguity, a fast-paced environment and changing direction in a role that is very involved.

This role partners closely with Finance, Pricing, Business Insight, Marketing, GIO & Country Commercial leads.

Your responsibilities:

Subject Matter Expert – You act as Strategic SME to the Shingrix franchise on all forecasting and relevant Analytics areas outlined above, bringing objective independent thinking

Forecasts - you own robust, evidence-based sales forecasts and build story providing clear, insightful interpretation of its assumptions to key governance forums.

  • Have an open communication channel with Country Commercial, Regional, Pricing, Finance colleagues, collecting, digesting, challenging and synthezising detailed assumptions.
  • Oversee the integration of assumptions and hypotheses into forecast model, while ensuring the models provide the most precise outputs
  • Curate the outputs from the forecast models into Comprehensive analytical reports cut from several angles to provide sufficient brand detail to key customers
  • Thoughtful & streamlined presentations to provide leadership with a holistic understanding of the market dynamics and resulting outcomes
  • Ensure data can be rolled up to Country level, then Regional and Global level

Performance - You define and deploy asset/market relevant performance tracking frameworks. You synthesize relevant disparate data sources to better understand performance (e.g Sales, ATU, Mkt Share, VEEVA data, Social, global to local KPI’s…); and make clear syntheses for senior management reviews (MPR, IR calls, townhalls, etc).

  • Develop, manage, and improve performance reporting/ visualization in addition to other ad-hoc requirements.
  • Help marketing management make data-driven decisions by providing a rigorous explanation of key drivers of business performance from disparate sets of data and dashboards.
  • Able to handle highly sensitive, confidential, and non-routine information supporting a rapidly changing organization.
  • Own operational definitions of relevant metrics to measure performance, metrics maturity to meet functional and leadership needs, successful implementation and supporting adoption of metrics (KPIs)
  • Drive standardization of dashboard metrics, respecting customer experience, journey and channel needs extracting relevant insights and recommendations

Data - You lead the synthesis of internal and external data relevant to ensure the global forecast and its implementation is underpinned by data, evidence and insight. Enable and drive data decision making culture.

  • Performing careful quality checks and asking analytical questions to ensure data integrity
  • Triangulate the data and derive takeaways, trends, risks, and opportunities, highlighting them to marketing in a clear & concise manner
  • Business case creation

Advanced Analytics - You understand and evaluate the utility of advanced analytics vis-a-vis global brand imperatives and support deployment of value creating methods

  • Champion the usage and adoption of other technologies that drive marketing effectiveness. Predictive/prescriptive modelling and other advanced methods to support decision making

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in either Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Mathematics/Statistics, Business, Economics, Operations, or Marketing
  • Proven ability in asset forecasting
  • Proven application of commercial analytics and ability to provide insightful commercial and market insight
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in healthcare, in pharmaceutical, management consultancy or financial institution, marketing analytics.
  • 3 years experience in Forecasting and Analytics and problem solving
  • Conceptual understanding of the drug commercialization process.
  • Experienced in a matrix environment, able to drive impact across a range of functions, seniority.
  • Ability to lead the delivery of projects from end to end and take ownership and accountability for the deliverables
  • Experience in working with individuals in countries, to obtain appropriate country-level information to translate to assumptions
