For one of our clients in the Finance industry, I am URGENTLY lookin for a FREELANCE OPERATIONS IT SPECIALIST who would manage the operational platforms (hardware and software) and to analyze their functioning on a permanent basis, in order to improve them, make them more reliable and automate them.

FREELANCE OPERATIONS IT SPECIALIST - Brussels + 12 months - The Role

  • Continuously manage operational platforms (hardware and software)
  • Intervene at level 2 and/or 3 in the management of incidents and problems
  • During crisis management, provide emergency solutions to ensure continuity of operations. Coordinate these actions with other entities
  • Research and implement sustainable solutions to ensure high availability of IT operations
  • Evaluate the technical feasibility of the solutions to be implemented
  • Carry out thetechnical realizations on the basis of the functional files issued by the Change teams (analysts and developers).

FREELANCE OPERATIONS IT SPECIALIST - Brussels + 12 months - The Profile

  • Ability to move from one subject to another in a timely manner, to lead multiple projects in parallel while allocating time appropriately among them according to their importance and priority
  • Able to continuously acquire the necessary technical skills to maintain expertise in the Infrastructure and Operations areas of the Run
  • Should have certain expertise in various purely operational platforms such as mainframes, OPCON/xps, EOM UNISYS (Depcon), STAR1100, XEROX (VIP Server, DocuSp, etc.), Biztalk (Receive port & send port), departmental printing (GDD), etc
  • Experience in business procedures, IT processes, planning of the same, with basic knowledge of programming (Scripts)
  • Good knowledge of .net scripting, Visual basic, PowerShell /SQL basic is an asset
  • Fluency in French and Dutch, both written and spoken and good knowledge of "technical" English.
