To strengthen our Global Internal Audit team, based at the HQ in Brussels, Belgium we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Global Internal Audit Manager.

Who you’ll work with:

Global Internal Audit reports directly to the Chairman of the Audit Committee – and our CEO – and works directly with senior management by providing objective assurance and advice. Hereby, we leverage the insights gathered during our audits around the world and share these with our auditees and stakeholders as a constructive challenger and non-expert advisor. For this role, we expect the highest professional standards in terms integrity, objectivity, professionalism and confidentiality. UCB’s Global Internal Audit department has always acted as a pool of top talents, which are promotable within the UCB organization after a rotation within Global Internal Audit, ensuring the continued growth of UCB and fostering a compliance mindset throughout the organization.

What you’ll do

  • Drive the execution of our audit plan, communicate the results thereof to senior management.
  • Drive the enhancement of the internal control and (financial) risk management environment.
  • Assist management with financial reporting.
  • Join various (project) teams and help them complete their objectives.

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • Interested and willing to travel 40% of the time (worldwide)
  • At least 7 to 10 years of total working experience, including at least 4 years in finance, accounting or audit.
  • Experience in an accounting firm (including Big4) and/or the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
  • Able to work both individually and as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Very good knowledge of English is a must, knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • Interested in the possibilities created by advanced analytics/artificial intelligence. Experience with SAP, programming and/or digital tools is plus.
