Global Service Manager, Marine Automation

We have been intensively present onboard all types of ships where our solutions play an integral role. Our target is to make the vessels greener, more efficient and more profitable, thanks to the use of advanced automation and scrubber solutions.

We are now looking for a Global Service Manager within Marine Automation to our Norwegian office in Drammen. In this position your key duties lay within:

• Support and service our global marine customers

• Support and develop our team of highly skilled Service Engineers

• Prepare & plan service on demand, upgrades and smaller retrofits

• Control marine service capacity and plan for future needs globally

• Coordination with local teams in our global service organization

• Reporting and routine work according to Valmet’s policies

To be a successful Global Service Manager, Marine Automation you most likely have experience both as a Manager and from the Marine Automation industry. Experience of working on ships with electrical or data programming is preferred. Knowledge about our product; Valmet DNA and earlier versions as Damatic XD & XDi is also preferred.

We believe that you are an independent, self-propelled manager who thrives by empowering your team and to create sustainable results.

We also believe that you have an engineering background. Knowledge of marine ship engine systems is considered as an asset.

This position will require traveling to meet customers and visit ships.

You need to be able to have English as a working language, any other additional languages are considered an advantage. It is also beneficial if you are experienced in working abroad.
