Robert Half is currently recruiting an Infrastructure & IT Operations Manager to join a global leader in the construction material business.

Our client is active in50 countries with more than 60 years of expertise and has a major site in the region of Sint-Niklaas.

The Scope Of Responsibilities For This Job Include
  • As an IT infra expert, you will assist the global Head of IT to define and implement future infrastructure and network security standards;
  • As a team leader you will lead, and take part of, several IT projects at the different sites, and the cloud-based environment;
  • You will report directly to the Head of IT;
  • You define long-term information system, network & security solutions;
  • You lead the initiatives defined and assigned to your competence center;
  • You proactively monitor all of the infrastructure & network facilities;
  • You provide expert technical support to the other IT Competence center team members and users via phone, e-mail, Servicedesk portal and in-person where and when required;
  • You manage backup & (disaster) Recovery deployment & administration;
  • In addition you take care of server (physical & virtual) provisioning and lifecylce management;
  • You set up a proactive monitoring and notification system to report on unexpected outages or reduced functionalities;
  • You define, manage and deploy group security policies and network security architecture;
  • Microsoft Azure hosting deployment, support & maintenance;
  • You liaise with the infrastructure & network suppliers to build true partnerships;
  • You look at current usage of the infrastructure and improve (capabilities & cost) where possible & needed.
The Requested Qualifications For This Job Include
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Information technology;
  • A relevant experience and background in IT infrastructure and IT Operations, at senior level;
  • A full working proficiency in English is mandatory, any other language is considered a plus;
  • Passion for innovation & a sophisticated understanding of technological systems and programming;
  • Proven trackrecord of leading infrastructure & network related projects in previous careers;
  • "Can-do" mentality;
  • The ability to coordinate global projects and work together with remote team members;
  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Virtualization software, Veeam, Scripting, Encryption technologies, networking;
  • You are flexible to occasionally (about 10%) travel to the different sites abroad (mostly France, Netherlands, Italy, UK, USA).
