Your Role
The HR Business Partner closely supports the management, the team managers, and the employees to deliver HR services in a proactive and solution-oriented manner through close monitoring, management, and innovation of general HR processes and communication, in alignment with the business strategy.Your Responsibilities
- Recruitment: Drive the recruitment process for the assigned departments from identification of staffing needs to on-boarding of new hires. Drive follow-up meeting with new recruited employees.
- Training and Talent Development: Identify training needs for assigned departments and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Support leaders in personal development of leadership and people management. Drive the talent review process for the assigned departments including development and succession planning.
- Performance Management: Drive the Performance Management process within assigned departments and address performance related issues.
- Compensation: Manage compensation for assigned sites including salary review, annual bonus and incentive programs in close cooperation with department heads.
- Labor Relations: Manage social relations and support delivery of work council topics.
- Employee Relations: Support conflict management processes when employee-to-employee or manager-to-employee conflict arises. Guide and mentor management on disciplinary and termination processes. #LI-AM2
- Compliance, Policies & Procedures: Ensure compliance with labor law in all aspects of HR policies. Support consistent application of policies/ procedures and regulations related to HR issues.
Your Skills and Experiences
- University degree and relevant professional experience in Labor Law/ Human Resources,
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role and within a blue-collar organization,
- Strong experience in at least two of the following fields: recruitment and labor relations, employee relations,
- Solid knowledge of Belgian labor law and experience with union negotiations,
- Very good communication, influencing and problem solving skills, high customer orientation and open-mindedness.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, inclusive knowledge of MS Office,
- Language skills: good knowledge of Dutch and English is required. French as advantage.
