Overview

This role partners with the Commercial and R&D managers across 2 sites in Belgium, Temes and Nazareth, and the Service and Sales team in the Netherlands. The successful applicant will deliver improved management capability through coaching and up-skilling. You will also take ownership of all HR processes including all administration including HR programs and initiatives that support business objectives. All matters related to local Labor Law in both Belgium and the Netherlands will also be a key success factor in this role

Responsibilities

HR Partnering:

  • Coaching – Supporting management capability through coaching and up-skilling initiatives
  • Talent Management- Understanding the business needs for current and future skills to secure quality candidates for new and additional roles and development plans for internal top talent.

Employee Relations:

  • Provide assistance to managers and employees in resolving employee relations issues, to have a good knowledge of relevant employment legislation and the ability to advise in line with local policy.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with workers unions.

HR Generalist duties:

  • Maintain HR systems and processes including, Compensation, Benefits and HR policy. As well as supporting managers with the company’s Performance Management process.
  • To ensure correct and accurate data is available within the HR system
  • Assist in external and internal audits
  • Maintain and build role of employee advocate

Learning and Development:

  • Assess the needs and support training solutions in conjunction with L&D.

Recruitment:

  • Coordinate and support the requirements for the countries including administrating, sourcing and interviewing for roles at all levels and taking an active part in recruitment decisions

Projects:

  • Participate in European projects.
  • Partner with and support HR related EHS activities.

Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Employee matter experience and knowledge of employment law in both Belgium & The Netherlands
  • Strong HR Generalist and business partnering experience
  • Works well within a matrix organisation
  • Highly responsive and strong problem solving skills
  • Open and active communicator, adaptable
  • Strong influencing skills. Willing and able to work in an international team
  • Highly structured and organised with strong delivery focus. Committed to high quality work and attention to detail
  • Work in a standalone role with remote supervision
  • Must be fluent in English and French
  • Fluency in Dutch is a plus (not mandatory)
