Your Profile:
Your profile
  • Master of Science or equivalent student (ideally data science/ machine learning/ automotive).
  • You have a European EEA citizenship (not requiring a visa to work in Belgium).
  • You must be a student for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Knowledge in computer programming, big data, machine learning.
  • Excellent knowledge of Python.
  • Very good knowledge of machine learning libraries in Python (Keras, Scikit-learn etc.).
  • Able to summarize and explain complex technical information in a clear and visual way.
  • Basic skills with Office suite is a must.

Your team and your responsibilities:
Team/division description
As part of TME R&D organization, the Powertrain Division is responsible for local development of powertrains for vehicles built in one of the TME production plants, and for planning and research of new European technologies. Latest focus points include electrification, big data and connectivity.

Your project
TME R&D is building a strong focus on developing & using Big Data techniques. Such kind of Big Data techniques include Machine Learning modeling. Included in the Digital Powertrain department you will:
  • Analyze data to clarify correlations of catalyst system.
  • Develop machine learning models to predict catalyst system behavior.
  • Compare different machine learning algorithms accuracy on achieving the target.

!!! We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium) !!!
