Working closely with the whole Brussels team in a supporting role, the task of the intern include:
- Monitoring of EU policies and drafting notes (Mobility, Road Safety, Digitalisation, Energy, Environment and Climate etc.);
- Attendance of and reporting on policy events in Brussels;
- Attendance of and reporting on association meetings;
- Assisting with research and analysis of policy issues;
- Helping with formulating advocacy and position papers;
- Preparing and assisting in outreaches.
University degree in politics, communications, economics, law or business (preferably at a Master level).- Dynamic, excited about European affairs, able to feel ownership of their projects and see them through;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Excellent written and spoken English. Fluency in German is a plus;
- Excellent networking and social skills with a special attention to adapt to various intercultural settings;
- Good analytical, conceptual and strategic thinking skills;
- Flexibility, willingness to learn and adapt;
- Ability to work independently and as part of an international team;
- Understanding of EU institutions functioning is a plus;
- Interest in transport/mobility, digitalization, energy, environment and climate.
Additional Information
If you are a student enrolled in a Belgian University/College you will be granted travel reimbursement and meal vouchers.
If you are a student enrolled in a University/Collegeoutside of Belgium (or if you are available for a voluntary internship outside of your university curriculum) you will be granted an allowance of € 800/month.
Starting date: September or later
Duration: 6 months
