Team/division Description

Your team and your responsibilities

Our TME Manufacturing Support Business Reform team contributes to the efficient and smooth operation of production through strategic development and improvement of manufacturing supply chain systems (production instruction, parts procurement/inventory management, internal logistics).

As TME Head Office function we

  • Lead in-plant supply chain level-up to support efficient production & logistics, considering return on investment and most appropriate technology.
  • Actively seek out the needs of our stakeholders and global TMC direction
  • Evaluate projects based on Pan-E strategic needs & total manufacturing benefits.
  • Support business continuity through risk analysis, back up plans, and knowledge sharing enhancement of regional systems we are responsible for

Your project

  • Grasp manufacturing supply chain operations.
  • Advise/investigate where new technologies (AI, ChatGPT, blockchain, …) and Automate It Yourself tools (PowerApps/Power Automate, PowerBI) could support our use cases, especially camera scan machine learning technology.
  • Work out practical examples for these use cases allowing us to get stakeholders understanding and buy in
  • Share your knowledge/experience with these technologies to people in our team

Your Profile

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
  • Student in last year of bachelor or master degree, in industrial engineering, in supply chain management, or in process system degree
  • Experience with AI is a must (ideally also camera scan machine learning), ChatGPT, Blockchain, …
  • You have an interest in manufacturing supply chain and automotive industry and familiar with IT systems and data improvements.
  • Experience with PowerBI / PowerApps / PowerAutomate is a plus.
  • As a self-starter, you demonstrate pro-activeness, ownership, and determination to complete tasks.
  • You are well structured and have strong communication skills, not afraid to ask questions and can speak to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • You have good project management skills, demonstrating good time management and milestones tracking control.

Due to business requirement, not all performed projects can be reflected in the internship report. This issue needs to be discussed with candidate/school in advance.

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
