Mission & Responsibilities

Indeed, as a next phase in the carve-out roadmap towards operational independency, the European H.Q. of Daimler Trucks AG located in Stuttgart, Germany, decided to set up an independent IT infrastructure. Considering that the current IT application architecture is locally dispersed over the different countries within the EMEA market, HQ in Stuttgart aims to set a transition in place, by optimizing and harmonizing the variety of all digital applications used by the Mercedes-Benz Trucks branches in the EMEA market, and turning it into a streamlined core on a regional level.

Given the different set of operational standards and business demands that are specific to the production, sales & maintenance of trucks for every local market, each dealing with their own customized applicative system, Mercedes-Benz Trucks Belgium is currently looking for a local IT Application Coordinator.

As local IT Application Coordinator it is your mission to optimize the ERP/CRM applications used by the Belgian Mercedes-Benz Trucks locations. You’ll align the local system with the overarching architecture on a regional level - as directed by HQ in Stuttgart, while guaranteeing that all requirements of the Belgian branches are covered during the streamlining process.

Responsibilities

Within this capacity, you’ll report directly to the Belgian Head of IT for Mercedes-Benz Trucks regarding all ERP/CRM applications topics and projects, holding the following scope of responsibilities
  • Change & Project Management - Monitor and manage change processes
  • Coordinate the migration of current ERP/CRM applications to a new platform/suppliers
  • Coordinate the implementation of global applications, taking into account the local business requirements.
  • Support the application planning and implementation for new locations
  • Design non-standard application solution for all kind of local business demands
  • Ensure compliance and provide reporting and tracking of changes.
  • Core Operations Support - Monitor and manage the lifecycle of the ERP/CRM application landscape
  • Coordinate service follow-up, acting a s go-to-person for ERP/ CRM applications support towards end-users
  • Support security related tasks, like local penetration tests
  • Ensure root cause analysis of system outages and regular reporting
  • Operational Vendor Management - System Troubleshooting and End-User Support
  • Follow-up of escalations and change requests towards technical consultants of external software suppliers
  • Maintain engagement framework for key vendors and ensure SLAs are met
  • Organize service meetings (ITIL based) with suppliers, using tools like ServiceNow
Skillset
  • Degree in IT related subject or knowledge on comparable level
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of enterprise applications in automotive industry
  • Demonstrated working experience with Agile project management methods (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience in coordinating change and harmonization projects
  • Demonstrated working experience with use of IT Service management practices & tools (ITIL & ServiceNow)
  • Experience in coordinating/managing ERP/CRM software suppliers
  • Trilingual: Dutch, French & English - knowledge of German is a plus
