About the position: This position is a hybrid position that combines responsibilities of both Business Systems Analyst and IT Service engineer. The person will support and develop the suite of IT systems used by the Howden Belgium team and ensure the ongoing operation of the digital infrastructure. The person will be a technical/practical point of contact for IT in Belgium and collaborate with central teams to deliver group initiatives and standards. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, both locally and globally.

Key responsibilities:

Project delivery:

  • Drive and facilitate key projects across the suite of IT systems;
  • Collaborate with the IT manager and various teams to ensure successful execution of IT projects.

User community management:

  • Provide appropriate roles and permissions within the system;
  • Manage system licences and user interaction;
  • Run user groups and forums, train end users and develop super users.

System management:

  • In particular Sales Force and Brio+/Portima;
  • Manage document templates and perform core maintenance processes;
  • Configure existing programs, extract data;
  • Ensure a robust and reliable IT environment.

Ensure excellent daily service delivery:

  • Proactively support the team in delivering their IT services;
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure customer-focused service;
  • Act as an escalation point for production support issues;
  • Manage technical debt and provide necessary controls for the platform.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • You hold at least a graduate degree in information management or equivalent through experience in the position;
  • You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience;
  • You are bilingual (FR/NL) with a good knowledge of English;
  • You have professional proficiency with data flows between business and financial systems;
  • You have an ‘operational’ mindset to find answers to business challenges in a commercial environment;
  • You are familiar with data visualisation and processing;
  • You deliver excellent customer service;
  • You are well organised and can manage priorities well;
  • You have a dynamic and enthusiastic personality, are stress-resistant and customer-focused;
  • You are accurate, flexible, people-oriented and a real team player.
