We are developing innovative solutions for our customer to manage their Passenger Information Systems. These solutions cover a wide range of functionalities ranging from the ability to manage the look & feel and the behavior of the systems, remotely updating their systems and up to integrating with 3rd party data sources to keep passengers up-to-date.

We are on the lookout for a motivated Java Back End Engineer who is excited about starting their journey with us and evolving into a DevOps Expert. You will play a key part in building and maintaining scalable back end systems and participating in DevOps initiatives to enhance our deployment pipelines and infrastructure.

All aboard: explore your role with us

As a Back End Engineer you will work in a multidisciplinary and international team to combine different technologies into a comprehensive design that can provide an end-to-end solution across multiple products. Your main tasks are:

• design, develop and maintain robust Java-based web applications for our cloud-based modular application Suite.
• analysis and design for the interfaces to 3rd party real-time data sources.
• mapping of data models from and to different standards.
• supporting in the deployment of your developed software.
• provide input and support towards the quality assurance testing.

Your next stop:

As a DevOps Engineer you will work together with the existing DevOps team to support on their tasks:

• contribute to the management of our test, staging and production environments.
• support containerization efforts for backend applications using Docker.
• contribute to the management of our CI/CD pipelines.

Track your skills: how you can add value to our team

• You have Master’s degreein Computer Sciences or ICT.
• You possess in-depth Java programming skills.
• You are familiar with Spring Boot framework.
• You have practical experience with build tools (maven), source code control (git) and continuous integration(Jenkins).
• You have hands-on experience with virtual machine and containerization technologies (Docker).
• You have good knowledge in developing RESTful API’s.
• You have experience with data modeling techniques (SQL, NoSQL) and interfacing with them using Java.
