Java Developer - Weblogic

ARHS Digital is looking for an experienced Java developer with Weblogic knowledge for one of our clients in the Health Care Sector in Brussels.

The team is responsible for a panel of tools to send documents and communications to customers. It includes purchased tools (Papyrus, OMS AI) but also internal development based on JAVA/Weblogic and Outsystems. Java applications are used by more than 2000 colleagues to prepare and generate documents or communications to customers & runs today on Weblogic.

Role & Responsibility

• Responsible for the correct and quality implementation of stories.
• Communicating efficiently to all stakeholders (business/functional analyst, solution architect).
• Guaranteeing that your code is fully covered by unit tests.
• Participating in code testing.
• Actively participating during refinements with the team.
• Making technical improvement proposals and defending them to the solution architect.
• Analyzing integrations with other parties and systems.
• Taking non-functional requirements into account when developing the solution.
• Working out the technical design.
• Working together with infrastructure staff to install the applications and monitoring their operation.
• Documenting your software thoroughly, without getting bogged down in details.
• Monitoring the daily operation of the productive application.
• Solving day-to-day incidents and service tickets.

Your profile

• Fluent in English and good knowledge of Dutch and/or French

Technical skills

• Good knowledge of Oracle SQL, JEE 7 & Java 8, EclipseLink, SOAP, REST, EJB, JMS, WebLogic
• At least 3 years of experience in JAVA development
• Expertise in the development of GUI’s (Struts, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Experience in development and maintenance of applications in enterprise-class Systems (critical application)
• Experience in configuration and maintenance of CI/CD in Jenkins (Multibranches, Pipelines, …)
• Experience with Weblogic Application servers (WLSTs, Clustering, Deploying, ...)
• Knowledge of the following tools and technologies: Eclipse, IntelliJ, Postman, Maven, Git, Jenkins, Jira, Grafana, InfluxDB, OpenSearch, ...
• AGILE by nature and willing to fully participate in the scrum story.
• Aware of the developments within Java (Quarkus)
• Aware of container technology (OpenShift)
• Knowledge of low-code development (OutSystems) would be considered an asset
