The Line Manager is managing and improving the day to day performance of the team utilising available resources to deliver a quality service that meets customer needs. ‘People’ and ‘performance’ are two key dimensions to the role. The job is predominantly based in front line activity with a focus on day to day performance, though weekly and monthly trends must also be monitored. Longer term development and change is directed by the Operations Manager.
To be successful in the role the you must
- Minimum of HBO education
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in team management
- You have proven good leadership skills
- Ability to appraise and quality assess the work produced by others
- Good analytical skills and an ability to define and articulate the detailed nature of any given situation appropriately to the target audience whether technical or non-technical
- Good interpersonal and communication skills especially in a multi-cultural environment
- Strong customer focus
- Proactive and self sufficient attitude
- Flexible and people oriented attitude
- English and Dutch business fluent, French is a plus
- Be prepared to travel for minimum of 30% of the time
- Have a Driver’s licence
- Scheduling and hosting weekly meetings with both internal and external partners
- Updating the status of the tickets and closing them
- Making sure important metrics are being met and organising stand up with the teams on a weekly basis
- Making sure all activities are aligned with the company standards
- Stakeholder interactions and following complex policies and good practices
- Monitoring activity
- Undertake coaching and feedback to support performance
- Fair & consistent correction & encouragement to all team members
- Meeting new starters and setting standards & expectations
- Ensure that corresponding training sessions are scheduled and completed
- Managing absence, timekeeping, behavioural issues
