The Manager, Logistics Delivery Performance and Governanceplays a key role for ensuring the robust management of the Logistics Delivery Operations freight budget and for driving performance governance and process standardization across the breadth of logistics delivery functions. Activities and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lifecycle management of Logistics Delivery Operations freight budget – budget creation to actual management, aligning transportation plan with volume and supply plan across the network.
  • Responsible for driving Cost and Service Performance Governance and Continuous improvement through our Balanced Scorecard and Operational Review Management Framework (BSC / ORM).
  • Interfaces with key functions such as Business Technology, Logistics Platform Services and Finance to enable capability maturity, establishing and prioritizing platform enhancements and needs.
  • Represents Logistics Delivery Operations in core Intercompany Operations (IO) governance forums such as the IO Project Governance Council and Pfizer Connect
  • Provides value creation governance across all areas effecting Logistics Delivery Operations.
  • Help Intercompany Operations achieving their Zero Defects targets using quality risk management methods
  • Actively contributes to the enhancement of the end-to-end mindset, behaviors and capabilities of the Logistics Delivery team

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Governs Lifecycle Management of Logistics Delivery Operations Freight Budget:
    • Develops transportation budget and proactively manages on-going performance
      • Alignment of Transport and Supply Plan
      • Drives Cost Change Governance
      • Variance analysis, Forecast and Accrual preparation
      • Develops and Administers Fuel Management and Market Intelligence Strategies
      • Forecasts Transportation Capacity
    • Collaborates with and leverages strong network of colleagues in Intercompany Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Business Technology (BT), Plants, External Supply and External Service Providers to drive governance framework
    • Establish maturity models and assessment tools to drive capability quality
    • Maximizes leverage / value from IO Data Management and Analytics Hub
  • Drive Harmonized Processes, Network Governance and Performance Management:
    • Responsible for process development and training, ensuring to support the Lifecycle Management of the Logistics Delivery Operations Freight Budget – ensures that organization leverages toolsets and capabilities
    • Drives Cost and Service Performance Governance and Continuous improvement through overseeing LDO’s contribution to Global Supply Chain’s Balanced Scorecard and Operational Review Management Framework (BSC / ORM).
    • Partners with Procurement to Manage all Logistics Delivery Operation’s Sourcing strategies and Initiatives
    • Represent LDO for Intercompany’s Project Management Governance and the Pfizer Connect Process
  • Lead or participate in Intercompany Operations / Logistics Delivery Projects
  • This is an individual contributor role.
  • Possible location(s) : Zaventem (Belgium), or Madrid (Spain) . This position is not eligible for relocation.

Your skills

  • Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Management), Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance or Advanced Business Analytics is required. A bachelor’s degree in another field may be considered if accompanied by appropriate work experience. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience:5-7 years experiences in Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics or Transportation in an international environment
  • Budget management, variance analysis, forecast preparation, accruals preparation
  • Project Management
  • Strong cross-functional relationships
  • High aptitude for analytics - Ability to work with a lot of variables and data and synthesize to drive management decision making
  • Effectively communicates with a variety of internal and external partners and customers as well as senior management.
  • Advanced user-level of MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP and analytical tools (ex. Tableau) is essential.
  • Lead change management processes
  • Willingness to travel up to max 20% as well as participate in meetings outside of normal business hours
  • Languages: Excellent knowledge (written and spoken) of English. Any other language is considered a plus.
