Manager Procurement & Supplier Management

With the launch of our rapid COVID 19 PCR test, we are currently seeking a “Manager Procurement & Supplier Management”to join our “Supply Chain & Manufacturing” team. You will be a crucial player in building out our production and supply chain activities now that we are moving from a research focused organization into a commercial organization.

As our Manager Procurement & Supplier Management, you will beresponsible for defining and executing sourcing strategies and building strong relationships with our portfolio of suppliers.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Engage with the Research and Product Development teams to document and specify technical needs of the raw materials and search for external suppliers that can deliver to miDx specifications.
• Define, implement and execute strategic sourcing and relationship management strategies (from RFP through to Contract Execution) that enable us to meet our technical and cost objectives related to new product developments, whilst ensuring quality and driving innovation into the business.
• Drive and execute supplier negotiation strategies focusing on supplier quality, total cost, and performance while minimizing risk exposure.
• Manage, develop & drive suppliers to deliver robust service and delivery, quality and performance. Drive supplier relationship development and create real partnerships to improve capabilities of the supplier base and/or key business processes. Measure, monitor and report overall performance
• Manage capacity & delivery model to optimize inventory levels and. Define a strategy for accurate planning and delivery of products (raw material or finished goods) to support customer needs.
• Develop visibility of tooling maintenance placed at suppliers to forecast out future cost. Align CAPEX investments to support existing operation as well as new CAPEX requirements to enable volume growth.
• Develop and evaluates formal bid packages for suppliers of goods and services
• Partner with the Quality Assurance team to develop a robust and efficient QA system including supporting audits, certification and thus managing the ‘Approved Supplier List’.
• Perform other work related duties as assigned

• Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree in Business, Supply Chain or equivalent;
• Min. 7 years of experience in strategic supplier management and third party risk management, preferably in Life Sciences or the Diagnostics industry;
• Extensive contract negotiation experience;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, relationship builder;
• Demonstrated organizational skills with experience managing multiple initiatives at one time;
• Project and process management skills, with experience handling multiple suppliers, projects and tasks;
• Analytical and problem solving mindset;
• Excellent oral and written English skills;

• Our offices are located in Leuven (Belgium). Relocation to Belgium is needed. It is essential that you hold entitlement to work and live in Belgium.
