Job Description
Job Profile Market Access Manager – BeLux
Main Purpose of Job:
  • Develop and implement market access processes and provide technical expertise in Health Technology Appraisal submissions
  • Build and maintain relationships with health economic and other relevant opinion leaders as well as reimbursement agencies
  • Work in collaboration with VA Senior Manager to understand, implement and where possible influence policies to create optimal business environment for Amgen products
  • Responsible for adopting the European market access materials (e.g. value repositories, cost-effectiveness models, budget impact models)
  • Provide – in close collaboration with marketing, medical, KAM and sales colleagues – support and guidance to field based activities
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
As Market Access Manager, you will be part of the Value & Acces (VA) Team and reporting to the VA Senior Manager, you will take primary responsibility for reimbursement of a selection of Amgen products in Belgium & Luxembourg.
Responsabilities:
  • Initiate the most effective and timely strategy to obtain market access for products in Belgium & Luxembourg by managing timely preparation, submission and follow-up of pricing and reimbursement files
  • Propose and implement the agreed local market access strategy until reimbursement publication and during the life cycle of the product by working closely with R&D, Medical, Marketing & Sales to secure broad product access for Amgens new and existing product portfolio
  • Take leadership of Health Technology Appraisal (HTAs) in Belgium and Luxembourg in close collaboration with Medical and Marketing colleagues
  • Value evidence generation in scope of dossiers and publications
  • Collect local cost data for the customization of cost effectiveness models
  • Adapt budget impact models for local decision makers
  • Map local payers and access influencing networks
  • Develop & roll out an engagement strategy with key payers and other relevant opinion leaders (e.g. advisory boards, stakeholders summit meeting) to support market access activities
  • Support reimbursement/pricing negotiations with payers
  • Provide input for local requirements in the international value dossier & payer plan
  • Keep EU and global colleagues informed about and seek support on all ongoing submissions
  • Liaise with EU and global colleagues to create a strong relationship and defend the BeLux interest
Profile:
Qualifications
  • Degree in Science with a good sense of business understanding
  • 5 years of industry-relevant experience in Healthcare environment
  • Solid project management skills for multiple tasks/projects/priorities and complex issues to propose innovative solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch since all submissions need to be done in the Dutch language. In addition good verbal communication skills in English & French
  • Strong cross-functional leadership within the organization and ability to drive and influence peers in complex (matrix) organization
  • Ability to steer the team towards objectives and hold peers highly motivated
  • Value-based negotiation skills and convincing communication style
Preferred Requirements
  • A degree or experience in Health Economics would be an advantage.
  • Relationship with key national & regional payers
