Why Deliveroo?

When you first think about Deliveroo, you probably think of getting great food to your house in less than half an hour. Awesome right? But behind the scenes is the real story. This story is one of high growth, huge challenges and an enormous opportunity ahead of us. It began with our founder Will, arriving in London in 2004 and finding it almost impossible to order great food, despite the wealth of incredible restaurants in the city. We work with riders, restaurants and consumers. We operate one of the most complex three sided marketplaces in the world and we do this in real time. Millions of customers and thousands of restaurants and riders rely on us to match them within milliseconds. The algorithms behind that marketplace are the secret sauce that allows us to deliver our orders in around 30 minutes.

The Role

We are now looking for a highly talented marketing intern for Belgium. This is a paid student internship (CIP). This is a rare opportunity for a student to become a young member of a rapidly growing, well-funded startup, active in thirteen countries, including Belgium.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with all teams across the business to organise the monthly editorial calendar: restaurant marketing, promotions, sales, PR and comms
  • Ensure all social media assets and campaigns deliver against our briefs, with clear objectives & key messages
  • Be responsible for setting up the editorial calendar and scheduling content across all our existing social channels
  • Develop new strategies for increasing follower growth, including via influencers outreach and brand partnerships
  • Responsible for tracking, reporting, and monitoring social platform analytics both at local and global levels

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience needed in social media strategy, and engagement with platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter. Twitch and Tik Tok experience would be a plus.
  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates versatility, creative thinking, and strategic messaging
  • Confidence in your ability to juggle multiple assignments in a fast-moving workplace
  • Solid understanding and enthusiasm for all things social, including promotions, analytics, best practices, etc.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Self starter with an outstanding ability to think creatively, and identify and resolve problems
  • Great creative copywriting, proofreading and editing skills
  • Must be a native french speaker or show proficiency in french, especially in creative writing. Fluent in English (verbal and written) is mandatory. Trilingual would be a plus (dutch)

Nice To Have

  • Experience in paid social and sponsored posts is a plus
  • Photoshop & other design skills
