Responsibilities

  • Design & Innovate: Develop high-quality mechanical designs that meet customer requirements, cost targets, and project timelines.
  • Problem-Solve: Collaborate with project teams to tackle product-related challenges and ensure a “first-time-right” approach to quality.
  • Support Customers: Provide fast and proactive assistance to clients, building strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Optimize for Production: Work closely with suppliers and internal production teams to refine and enhance design feasibility.
  • Drive New Business: Assist RFQ teams in securing new projects through your technical expertise.
  • Ensure Accuracy: Maintain thorough documentation of your work, including drawings, reports, design rule checklists, and more.
  • Share Knowledge: Contribute to training programs, helping new engineers grow and excel.

Qualifications

Passion for Mechanical Design: A creative mindset with a strong ability to work both independently and in a team.

Educational Background: master’s degree in product design, mechanics, or electro-mechanics.

Strong Communication Skills: Fluent in English (written & spoken); Dutch is a plus.

Technical Expertise:

  • Tolerance stack-up & GD&T
  • 3D CAD software
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA)
  • Plastic design (materials, tooling, injection molding)
  • Metal stamping
