Mechatronics Design Engineer

We are looking for a Mechatronics Design Engineerwho is attracted to a variation of interesting and challenging projects. Compared to the industry, our client implements a unique way of working. Therefore, we are looking for an open-minded Mechatronics Design Engineer that wants to contribute in the conception, design testing and the commissioning of robotic equipment.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Continuously working on new projects for various clients
  • Projects include:
    • Mechanical and hydraulic design
    • Modelling and simulating the robot functions and trajectories
    • Developing and adapting robot devices (racks, tools,..) to the specific application
    • Using KUKA simulation to validate the robot’s load and reach to confirm robot size selection.
    • Using KUKA simulation to define the loads applied to the supporting structures to enable relevant stability verifications.
    • Organizing drafting work on home and remote sites for designer (draftsmen).
  • Drawings check-up, approval and official release for manufacturing.
  • Manufacturing costs parameters consideration
  • New design and product development validation.
    • Shop test and commissioning
    • Coordination and technical support to operations and suppliers
    • Design calculations
    • Design rules setting up and maintenance according to best practices.
    • Reporting progress to TSR requestors and Project Manger
  • TSR system database administration
  • Technical issues reporting and coordinating with Product Managers

Technical skills:

  • Creo
  • KUKA
  • (System)TSR
  • 2D / 3D CAD Design software
  • FEA tools
  • Knowledge in Hydraulic
  • Skills in Mechanical Design (conception, calculation, material selection, detail engineering design, manufacturing methods)
Your profile and skills:
  • Education: Bachelor degree in electricity, automation or electromechanical engineering
  • Language: Fluent in English
  • Experience: 3-5 years
  • Autonomous, committed and creative leadership mindset
  • Open to Worldwide travelling (20-25%)
