Mission
The Operational Efficiency Manager manages continuous operational improvement, supports the improvement process and monitors transformation plans. He/she reports to the OE Manager and works mainly in the La Louvière plant, the main factory of NLMK Europe.
Main responsibilities
- Implements NPS (NLMK Production System) tools according to defined deployment plans (performance tables, operational meeting structures, 6S, Mapping, etc.).
- Trains users on NPS tools and assists them in implementation.
- Pilots improvement and transformation projects defined as part of the division or entity roadmap.
- Defines with operational services the necessary KPIs to manage their activity. He/she automates their updating and supports operational services to create reports and comments on deviations.
- Administers the initiative system of his sector: encodes initiatives, organizes technical committees, ensures the completion of projects, supports the budget request, monitors the rewards system and communicates on successes.
- Administers the area improvement plan and supports the operational manager in leading this improvement plan.
- Participates in weekly/monthly performance monitoring meetings and supports operational staff in preparing and leading them.
- Organizes diagnostics, management reviews, maturity analyzes in order to support operational managers in defining the vision, objectives and action plan.
- Implements data collection tools and carries out analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Participates in the Benchmarking process.
- Creates NPS training materials and carries out this training with the staff of his entity/department
- Manages the tools deployed (management bodies, A3, line walks, etc.).
- Identifies the needs for digital tools to simplify processes.
Profile
- Industrial or civil engineer.
- At least 10 years of professional experience.
- Operational and team management experience.
- Experience with LEAN method and tools.
- Written and spoken English: B1 minimum.
