Which is where you come in.What you will be doingAs Process & Product Quality Manager you will be part of the operational team in the Silicon Carbon Anode Battery Materials pilot plant, to improve and stabilise product quality by reducing variation of processes, to implement automotive customer qualification programs and respecting related quality standards procedures by consolidating the full process, product quality & technical knowledge in a quality management system.The function will be located in Olen (BE)and will report to the Operations and TQM Anode Battery Materials Pilot CRD.Detailed Responsibilities
  • You monitor and reduce process variation, optimize process parameters with goal of stabilisation the product quality, to improve process adaptability and operational excellence and cost. You propose and manage process improvements in collaboration with the production team (optimize existing production process technologies) and give input for piloting team (new process technologies).
  • You support starting up and improve new QMS by respecting quality / automotive standards (ISO 9001 2015, APQP, VDA and ISO-TS-16949) and manage customer expectations and qualification programs by translating this to the operational team. You support establishing of internal quality testing capacity for the pilot operations and qualification programs.
  • Project management: support and manage quality and process related projects (i.e. data mgt system, capacity debottlenecking, full automation of pilot production plant).
  • You support testing, evaluating and implementing new products, qualify new raw materials, support process development with customers.
  • You develop formation programs and quality awareness programs, propose and follow up on new procedures so that we manage the knowledge of the expanding production team on Safety, quality and cost awareness.
Who we are looking for
  • You acquired a Master degree(chemistry, physics, engineering, bio, ...) with min. 5 years working experience in an industry dealing with high complexity (processes, products, installations)
  • Experience with quality management systems is a strong plus (ISO 9001 2015, APQP, VDA and ISO-TS-16949)
  • Experience within battery materials and/or automotive industry context are certainly a strong plus
  • Experience or knowledge on how to monitor physical-chemical processes and how to supervise statistical data of processes
  • Solid project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills based on facts, resulting in making clear conclusions on decisions and problem solving
  • You are a strong teammate in multi-disciplinary project organization and cross-cultural environment
  • You are a transparent and efficient communicator with good presentation skills
  • Proficient writing and speaking in English and Dutch
