Procurement Finance Lead, Europe

We are currently searching for talented, motivated and adaptable individual to join our growing team based in the European financial centre in Poznań.

This role is to provide the financial leadership and commercial decision support for Procurement in all aspects of financial planning & management reporting for all European markets.

Responsibilities includes, Driving Commodity outlook and Hedging strategies, anchoring Productivity discussions and targets , consolidation of financials, driving DIOH & DPO targets and anchoring financial processes such as budget and forecast.

In this role, you will…
  • Work in a highly effective Finance team that delivers on each of the key accountabilities of Decision Support, Forecasting, Performance Management and Financial Controls
  • Lead and coordinate the annual and strategic planning process across all streams (Productivity and cash targets)
  • Be responsible for development of standard decision support tools
  • Be responsible for approval and governance of productivity projects for Raw, Pack and Co Manufacturing Units
  • Preparing monthly presentation and leading discussion with Procurement team giving advice regarding performance drivers, impacts to Supply Chain/Business Unit P&L and potential action plans
  • Manage the month end process for procurement
  • Be responsible for timely and relevant analysis of the monthly and YTD result by stream and cost drivers, risks and opportunities
  • Support delivery of productivity agenda
  • Develop risk management strategies for specific markets based on their risk appetite. Present multiple instruments and other hedging options such as physical buying, forwards, futures, options and embedded derivatives such as collars
  • Create a robust process for understanding forex exposure and coverage strategies in line with the respective country regulations and cost of hedging related to carry cost and those drivers such as interest rate, inflation etc.
  • Work with BU FDs to ensure there are regular updates and pricing strategies are formulated well in advance for any potential risks thru regular meetings and R&O profile discussions
  • Accountable for all standard cost, cost updates
Why you?

Qualifications & Skills
  • 10+ years of extensive experience on the finance function of a MNC
  • Commercial finance experience (sales, marketing or supply chain) and people management experience required
  • Qualified Degree in Finance or Accountancy from a recognizable University, MBA preferred
  • Fluent English required
  • Good understanding of the consumer goods industry and fx/commodity markets worldwide
  • Solid understanding of Profit and Loss, balance sheet management and cash flow analysis
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint Skills
  • Ability to influence business partners, internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Actively demonstrates the GSK values and ways of working
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong supply chain finance background preferable
  • Knowledge of SAP is desirable or at least a working knowledge of a similar type of ERP system
