  • You evaluate existing and identify new molecules and ingredients to maintain our innovative position in mycotoxin management, gut health and feed safety
  • You analyze research opportunities, share your vision and translate these into specific R&D projects that you initiate, shape, execute and follow up
  • You design animal trial protocols with input from all relevant peers in Impextraco and from external partners
  • You conduct scientific nutritional and physiological animal studies in our own state of the art research facilities
  • You follow up external projects with local and international project partners including universities, research centers and private companies
  • You initiate contact and maintain partnerships internally and externally with knowledge centers and universities
  • You review literature of publications relevant to feed safety and animal health as well as stay up-to-date on scientific trends, product development and research results
  • You maintain and develop the necessary core competences in chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry and biotechnology relevant to new product development
  • You explore active new ideas that can be converted in innovative projects
  • You participate in international technical symposia and congresses and give presentations on research results both internally and externally (scientific conferences)
  • You write internal technical publications, external peer reviewed journal papers and articles for trade magazines
  • You report to the global technical director Impextraco®/ Managing Director Power Protexion and keep stakeholders informed.

Profil

  • You obtained a university degree in Animal Sciences, Bio-engineering, Veterinary Medicine,

Biochemistry, Biology, or equivalent through experience.

  • Preferably you obtained a PhD and have been active for at least 5 years in the animal feed industry
  • You are research minded and customer/market oriented
  • You are tenacious and patient to complete development projects from conceptual design to market

  • You work autonomously, take initiative and get things done
  • You are creative and have attention to detail
  • Working in an international environment is appealing to you and you are occasionally willing to travel
  • You are enthusiastic and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • You are fluent in English, fluency in any second language is a plus
