Your reponsibilities are:
As Product Development Manager you lead the R&D lab team of our technology centre in the Ieper site.
Together with your team members you co-ordinate projects to develop and manage formulations of cleaning products in line with the needs of our customers.
  • You work closely together with product management, purchasing, sales and production. You link in with the other technology centres in our international company.
  • You promote a culture of identifying and delivering continuous improvement opportunities.
  • You do research on new innovative concepts to provide formulations of high quality with extra benefits for our customers.
  • You optimise existing formulations in order to drive a cost leadership position.
  • You ensure appropriate external testing for all formulation developments, paying special attention to methodology and budget demands.
  • You maintain regular contact with suppliers in order to be informed of new concepts, raw materials and market tendencies. Encouraging and facilitating this with the development engineers.
  • You lead the management of the raw material portfolio in the technology centre
Your profile:
Studies and working experience:
  • Master degree in chemistry
  • At least 5 years’ experience in detergent or cosmetic product development and experience as people manager
Technical skills:
  • Very good knowledge of Dutch, French & English
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Good knowledge of SAP
