Product Owner Tax Services

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Change Management Department, where you will be responsible for managing the product evolutions, capturing and designing the required changes/ solution and for co-ordinating the related implementation. You will be the Product Owner (PO) of the different Tax services in Euroclear Bank.

Within Euroclear group’s International Central Securities Depository (ICSD), Euroclear Bank, provides efficient withholding tax services in over 30 markets. Clients benefit from Euroclear’s value-added services, experience and proximity. By making tax management easy, fast and transparent, clients can get relief at source or excess tax refunded earlier than under a regular, standard refund process.

We therefore need to ensure the Tax service evolution is in line with market and technology changes. You will have a central role in defining this product evolution and will manage relationships with a large range of stakeholders (business and IT). You will have the opportunity to work with an agile methodology which is the trend triggered by the current company transformation. You will be facing clients when relevant. We will help you develop further business knowledge and further maturity/ experience in the definition of solutions and soft skills (out of the box thinking, work in dynamic teams, transversal overview, agile way of working).

The Product owner is the bridge between the business stakeholders / epic owners and IT / scrum squads to understand, define and prioritise business requirements in line with the defined business vision and strategy. As PO, you prioritise the demand aspect of initiatives which entails:

• understanding the clients’ needs;
• in collaboration with the Group Business Solutions and Architects defining the most optimal scope and solution to deliver focusing on the true client’s demand;
• creating and maintaining the product backlog, with an aim to optimise the business value;
• documenting and prioritising requirements and ensuring alignment and understanding by the different business stakeholders of the scope evolution and solution;
• supporting the scrum squads during the development and refinement sessions.

As a Product Owner, you will have other responsibilities:

• Plans, monitors and manages internal projects for initiation and scope.
• Ensures changes delivered meet requirements regarding solutions, schedule and cost.
• Develops effective relationships with business units, divisions or groups of users.
• Ensures required services are identified, developed and supported to the satisfaction of the business unit/division.
• Drive the risk assessment of the new or upgraded service in coordination with Operations, Risk Managers and all relevant stakeholders.
• Draft or review client documentation such as service descriptions, newsletters and contracts.
• Provide support to the migration and commercial teams for new client onboarding (including contacts with clients where relevant).
• Act as second-line expert support for Operations, Commercial, Application Development in the post-launch period.

• Master Degree and have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role and/or as Product Manager in the banking and/or financial services sector, with a focus on Withholding Tax Services.
• Experience in Agile is a real advantage.
• Experience in Withholding Tax Services is a must.
• Experience in Corporate Actions and/or Settlement would be an advantage.
• Excellent spoken and written English is required.
• Analytical, methodical and results oriented are key skills.
