Who are we?

The delaware Support team is a close-knit community of 100 colleagues that provides locally-based support in an international context. Within this tight community, the Project Accounting and Controlling teams offer their administrative experience to delaware colleagues and act as a sparring partner of the business. We play an integral role in supporting our operations and people, and contribute to the successful completion of delaware consultancy projects.

We are looking for an all-round administrative colleague, interested in doing a unique finance job in consulting. Could that be you? As a consultancy firm, delaware sells IT projects to customers. The key to successful projects is a structured follow-up of contract financials, safeguarding administrative processes and creating business insights. And that’s where you come in!

Just so you know: delaware has its offices in Antwerp, Ghent, Kortrijk, Lummen, Liège and Wavre.

What will you be doing?

The main part of your job is to offer administrative support to Project ManagersandGeneral accountingfor bank bookings (on daily basis), settlement of payment with the open customer/suppliers positions and other administrative tasks related to cash. This entails:

• Project setup: You enter the signed customer contract into our accounting system, review the structure of the project and set up billing information based on the signed customer contract
• Project invoicing: You check and finalize the invoice proposition of the Project Manager: is the pricing correct and are the payments by the customer done according to the contract?
• Quality check and risk analysis: On a monthly basis, you do a thorough check of your bookings. You make careful observations to proactively determine financial risks.
• Good communication & collaboration skills are key herebecause you will come in contact with a lot of different Project Managers.

• have an HBO or bachelor’s degree in Finance/business management, or do you have the necessary experience and all-round accounting skills? Are you interested in learning more about Controlling and Project Accounting? Then look no further!
• combine strong analytical skills with a keeninterest in financial matters? You are very organized in your work and a detailed planning or Excel sheet is one of your strong suits.
• are communicative, sociable and a tad assertive? We are a very close bunch who like to bond over lunch, at the coffee machine, or during fun team activities. You’ll fit right in because you dare to pick up the phone to get things done quickly.
• canexpress yourself well in English and French? Great! This is important to communicate with your colleagues across the country. Speaking Dutch is a strong asset.
