Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible to provide engineering and technical support for Mining projects for Process Automation Business Area in Chongqing, China. Reporting to the Engineering Manager II, you will make technical recommendations in various phases of customer projects to ensure successful delivery of project deliverables on time, within budget and in line with quality and safety guidelines.

Your responsibilities
  • Assisting project managers and project lead engineers in technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors and vendors
  • Assisting contract managers with claims, customer specifications and safety standards
  • Creating and delivering the work plan and budget, as well as risk assessments relevant to your engineering discipline
  • Helping customers resolve technical issues both remotely and at customer sites
  • Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service at all stages of the project
  • Ensuring on-site commissioning and trouble shooting
  • Providing technical support for Mining applications

Your background
  • 5 years of experience in automation field, and the knowledge background of mining process would be a plus
  • Sound knowledge of automation system, be familiar with design and engineering application
  • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
  • A bachelor or above degree in automation or relevant discipline
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin
  • Must be willingness to travel frequently
