Project Management comprises an array of activities that lead to the successfull completion of a project.

The project manager is responsible for leading a project from its inception to execution. This includes planning, execution and managing the people, resources and scope of the project. Project managers must have the discipline to create clear and attainable objectives and to see them through to successful completion. The project manager has full responsibility and authority to complete the assigned project.

The Project Manager will ensure appropriate initiation, planning and tracking of timelines, budget, resources, risks and scope, recommending alternative strategies to keep the project within thresholds or ensuring escalation to appropriate program manager (head of project portfolio), project team and governing bodies if necessary

Engineering is primarily concerned with the installation and application of developed solutions, the maintenance of facilities, infrastructure and equipment as well as the connection of services (water, chemicals, gases). Any other aspect in engineering like plant design, industrial programming, etc... may be concerned.

Your Responsibilities
  • Individuallly or as part of a project team responsible for solution design and project execution/follow up.
  • Responsible for the execution, coordination and follow-up of solution designs to ensure construction, transformation and commissioning/qualification of the solution meets agreed cost, timing, technology and quality standards in line with the Global Technical Services standards.
  • Ability to direct several projects, manage different project phases and coordinate project team.
  • Has specialized technical or practical expertise in one or more areas and knowledge of project management software and method.
  • Demonstrate strong mindset of Safety awareness from Design to end of execution.
  • Ensure work inspections are issued in line with quality standards and systems legal conformity.
  • Coordinate technicians during execution to secure contracts and connection of utilities and electricity.
  • Follow and apply GSK Vx project management methodologies, tools and practices which are based on PMBOK.

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • University degree preferably with a scientific orientation (Engineering, Science); Master degree preferred with 5 years experience
  • PM Certification is an advantage
  • Experience in project management and field coordination.
  • Candidate is expected to follow and apply GSK Vx project management methodologies, tools and practices which are based on PMBOK.
  • Aware of management of Safety policies and sensitive to workers’ attitude toward these policies
  • Proven Project Management experience with capability of working independently on multiple small projects, and ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to operate effectively in a multicultural, matrix organization where the workload requires balancing multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Successful experience in people management
  • Demonstrates competency in project management software and methods
  • Analytical, logical thought process with strong information organisation/management skills
  • Fluency in French and good knowledge of English
Preferred Qualifications

  • Effective time management, ability to clearly identify priorities and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work in a team environment under high pressure situations
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communications skills
  • Strong influential and negotiation skills
  • Patience and ability to collaborate even under pressure
