Job Description:

The Project Quality Engineer in our Manufacturing Engineering Department will perform full or partial FAI (First Article Inspections) to validate process stability before series production and in addition validate routings, technical sheets, control plan.

Accountabilities :

1. Perform FAI (First Article Inspection)

Perform and validate the FAI in accordance to comply with the latest approved AQI’s(Asco Quality Instructions) and customer specific documents.

  • Perform Product / Process FAI on new products
  • Perform delta-FAI (closure of change)

2. Validate Control Plans (CP)

Perform an evaluation with the goal to validate the control plan in accordance with the latest approved API’s (Asco Production Instructions nd AQI’s (Asco Quality Instructions).

  • Validate CP (Control Plan) on all make parts, covering machining and assembly processes
  • Validate Delta CP (Control Plan) for changes (configuration or process)

3. Validate Routings and ATS (Asco Technical Sheets)

Perform an evaluation with the goal to validate the routing in accordance with the latest approved API.

  • Validate routings for all make parts
  • Validate routing modifications (change management process)
  • Validate ATS (Asco Technical Sheets) for polishing and assembly(Special Processes excluded)

4. Validate Asco Control Cards (CC)

Perform an evaluation with the goal to validate the control cards in accordance with the latest approved API’s and AQI’s.

  • Validate CC on all make parts, covering machining and assembly processes
  • Validate Delta CC for changes (configuration or process)

5. Validate/check third party FAI reports (not SQA related)

Validate the FAI in accordance to comply with the latest approved AQI’s and customer specific documents.

  • Validate FAI reports from other ASCO plants
  • Perform spot checks on FAI reports done external sources

PROFILE :

Education: Master Degree in Engineering or equivalent through experience.

Languages: French and/or Dutch and English

Skills / Experience:

  • min. 2 years’ experience
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing or product development and design. Previous experience in a quality function is an advantage
  • Thorough technical knowledge in both product and process
  • Thorough knowledge of the quality system(s), safety awareness and well-developed analytical and organizational skills
  • Highly developed personal and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Good team player
  • Able to read and understand technical drawings
  • Show responsibility, respect and enthusiasm within a team
  • Willingness to travel is an asset
