The Role

U maakt deel uit van het projectteam voor tweetraps olievrije tandcompressoren binnen de technische afdeling van Oil-Free Air, waar nieuwe producten ontwikkeld worden en bestaande productontwerpen onderhouden worden.

Bij de ontwikkeling van nieuwe machines zal je als breed electro-mechanisch profiel binnen het projectteam ingezet worden op allerhande taken. Je zal ondersteunen bij het omschrijven, analyseren en optimaliseren van de verschillende functionele modules(deelsystemen) binnen de machine.

Je werkt in een engineering projectteam van ontwerpers, ingenieurs, tekenaars, alsook met collega’s in het prototype testlabo. Verder heb je contacten met de collega’s in andere departementen (aankoop, productie, service, …) en met leveranciers.

Jouw taken en verantwoordelijkheden bestaan onder meer uit de volgende onderwerpen:

• Op zoek gaan naar nieuwe technologieën en deze onderzoeken (opbouwen en delen van competentie)
• Opstellen van technische specificaties voor elektrisch en mechanische systemen
• Concepten uitzetten in 3D-CAD
• Aansturen en controleren van interne ontwerpstudie die detailontwerp en wederkerende taken op zich nemen.
• Definiëren van testprogramma’s en opvolging van prototypeassemblage/-testen
• Risicoanalyse van het ontwerp
• Opmaak van instructies en technische specificaties
• Toepassen van internationale normen en regelgevingen
• Interactie met leveranciers
• Evaluatie van kosten, assemblage, logistiek en onderhoud
  
  

Naast deze ontwerpactiviteiten, bent u ook betrokken bij de opvolging van het product.

• Ondersteuning van de andere afdelingen binnen Atlas Copco m.b.t. technische problemen in eindtest productie of problemen bij klanten
• Monitoren dat technische informatie (stuklijsten (BOM), specificaties) actueel gehouden wordt
• Aanbrengen van ideeën voor kwaliteitsverbetering van bestaande productontwerpen.

You will be part of the project team for two-stage oil-free tooth compressors within Oil-Free Air’s technical department, where new products are developed and existing product designs are maintained.

When developing new machines, you will be deployed as a broad electro-mechanical profile within the project team on all kinds of tasks. You will support the description, analysis and optimisation of the various functional modules (subsystems) within the machine.

You will work in an engineering project team of designers, engineers, draftsmen, as well as with colleagues in the prototype test lab. Furthermore, you have contacts with colleagues in other departments (purchasing, production, service, etc.) and with suppliers.

Your duties and responsibilities include the following topics:

• Looking for and researching new technologies (building and sharing competence)
• Drawing up technical specifications for electrical and mechanical systems
• Laying out concepts in 3D-CAD
• Directing and controlling internal design studies that take on detailed design and recurring tasks
• Defining test programmes and follow-up of prototype assembly/testing
• Risk analysis of the design
• Preparation of instructions and technical specifications
• Application of international standards and regulations
• Interaction with suppliers
• Evaluation of costs, assembly, logistics and maintenance
  
  

In addition to these design activities, you are also involved in product follow-up.

• Support the other departments within Atlas Copco regarding technical problems in final test production or customer problems
• Monitoring that technical information (Bill of Materials (BOM), specifications) is kept up-to-date
• Bringing in ideas for quality improvement of existing product designs.

• Kennis van autodesk electrical en Eplan zijn een plus
• Kennis van sturing en regelcomponenten is een voordeel
• Ervaring in een ontwikkelingsomgeving is een voordeel
• Vlot communiceren in het Engels met verschillende niveaus in de organisatie
• Kennis van het Nederlands is een plus

• Knowledge of autodesk electrical and Eplan are a plus

• Knowledge of Dutch is a plus
