Since 2015, the company has been investing in hydrogen technologies with the ambition of being a leading player across the whole hydrogen value chain.In order to reach the objectives in a new but fast growing and technology evolving market, Plastic Omnium has set up a dedicated Division “New Energies division” focusing on Hydrogen Storage, Fuel Cell Stack and Integrated Hydrogen Systems.MISSIONO rganizing and managing implementation of new prototyping machines and assembly jigs. Responsible to define maintenance plan for shop floor machine and execute complex maintenance tasksACTIVITIES
  • Follow-up of the installation of new machines and tools implementation in the shop floor in collaboration with the specialists and suppliers
  • Respect customer-specific requirements in the development of the production processes and ensure a good relationship with the customer.
  • Realisation of own company-specific means of production
  • Contribute to action plans to achieve the requested quality and cost objectives.
  • Preparation of schedules, budgets and follow-up reports of the installation of machines. Provides training when a new product or product change or installation is started.
  • Works out a layout with the highest possible return and a minimum number of organizational limitations and uses the appropriate resources. (+ e.g. associated time study per workstation)
  • Supports the vessel engineer in his / her need of specific jigs, fixtures and machines
  • Performs the necessary test on the new installation before and after delivery.
  • Responsible to define the maintenance plan for the machines on shop floor in coordination with industrial department for relevant machines
  • Provides training on maintenance to maintenance technicians and support technicians

  • R esponsible for complying with all safety rules in Plastic Omnium in the workplace.
  • Ensures correct separation of waste
  • R esponsible for wearing all necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Responsible for reacting immediately or signaling in case of irregularities at work with regard to safety and environment, and if necessary stopping activity.
  • Contributes to spreading a safety culture
  • Ensures order and cleanliness in the workplace
PROFILEPersonal background
    • Engineer in electromechanics or equivalent by experience
Job Technical Skills
    • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package (PowerPoint, Excel,...)
    • Knowledge of English and Dutch
    • Knowledge of PLC (siemens)
    • Project Management
    • Manufacturing process, shop floor experience
    • Product knowledge
    • Basic training safety, environment and LOTO
